Chicago born, Robert is an ‘adopted Scot’ and 30+ year technology and finance veteran, with the last 20 in climate and cleantech. He has coached over 600 companies in investment readiness and accessing climate finance, enabling over 160 startups to raise £millions in overall investment.

Founder of Fundraising101™ and Greenbackers Investment Capital. He previously founded and chaired Ecoconnect, a UK think-tank & business network, Cleantech Innovate, a major tech showcase and previously held M & A director positions at ABB, Worldcom and Marconi.

Robert is currently an Advisor to Zero Carbon Capital (cleantech venture fund), A Sustainable Ventures Fellow (accelerator and fund), a contributing member to Cleantech for UK (advocacy group), Cambridge Cleantech, the Solar Impulse Foundation, UK Business Angels Association (UKBAA) and is a Global Scot. He lives in Glasgow with his wife Catherine, a best-selling historical fiction writer.
